Content Specialist

Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area

As the content specialists, I managed, wrote, and search engine optimized website content and sales material, including developing original blog posts, resources, guides, landing pages, press releases, social media and event promotions, and FAQs. I audited the existing catalog of blog posts and resources and collaborated with the team to redesign and relaunch our TOFU and MOFU email campaigns. I also developed, outlined, and wrote over a dozen long-form, optimized customer guides for Medicare compliance, industry tips, and other outpatient rehab therapy topics, based on competitor and keyword research. I also expanded our content funnels across the site through “hub and spoke” downloadable and printable resources for our clients. I worked closely with the brand manager to develop long-term strategies for content and website optimization. When needed, I also partnered with other marketers and the sales team to develop sales proposals, ghost-write press releases and executive summaries, and develop other sales collateral, such as one-pagers and FAQs.

Copywriter

Eagle, Id

While at Intuit, I developed multiple strategies and programs for our customers and improved SEO performance for TSheets (now QB Time) and QuickBooks products. In March through May 2020, I iterated alongside our copywriter team to rapidly develop and launch content for two micro-sites within QuickBooks focused on small businesses aid during the COVID-19 crisis. Our team created the first (Small Business Help Center) within 24 hours, and the second (Paycheck Protection Program) within 48 hours, and created over 80 pieces of content in the following three months. Topics I covered included helping small businesses adapt during uncertainty, information on the SBA's PPP, relief and assistance programs during COVID-19, and more. Additionally, I wrote and updated SEO-driven content for TSheets and the QuickBooks Resource Center. Content topics included time management techniques, accounting, small business financial support, and remote work. Content was created or updated based on keyword research and close partnership with our internal SEO team. Late 2019, I partnered with the TSheets email team to create a detailed process that integrates content and design to speed up campaign creation. I worked closely with the email team to create content for key campaigns focused on first-time users, customer retention, and win-back series for TSheets and QuickBooks Online Payroll. Empathy for our audience and customers is at the core of my work. Typically, content creation is focused on SEO elements as well as audience research. This involves intermixing searcher behavior (keyword research) and intent with an authoritative approach to any subject-matter, often interviewing or quoting experts in the field. The final product is a piece that helps identify a customer problem and lead them through to a solution.
