Led development for Radiant LoomsTM Anti-Radiation Suit prototype, designed blueprint for design with Carle College of Medicine students and (dis)Ability Design Studio in collaboration with Beckman Institute.Studied the nature of x-ray attenuation resulting from x-ray imaging machines and analyzed the effectiveness of anti-radiation materials to create a lightweight, hypoallergenic x-ray protective suit.Corresponded with NASA personnel, Carle Hospital physicians, nuclear power engineering and radiation professors, and materials science engineers about the testing and applications of the prototype.Collaborated with Carle Hospital radiologists and neonatologists to assess x-ray radiation damage affecting infants in NICU.
