A motivated foreign medical graduate who is passionate about sustainable, family-centered programs, public health, and eliminating barriers to care for at-risk or vulnerable populations, especially in the immigrant pediatric population. I have worked extensively with the immigrant population, both from an educator stand point as well as a health provider. I received my MD from Universidad El Bosque in Colombia, where I completed seven years of medical training after finishing my primary and secondary education in Florida. I have done observerships in neuroradiology, pediatrics, and family medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.I am passionate about the importance ofpatient-centered care without coercion, patient education in all health aspects, and eliminating barriers to care for at-risk or vulnerable populations who face discrimination and other injustices in the healthcare system every day.
