Evaluate complex semiconductor and disk drive manufacturing equipment for proper safety design.(a) Evaluating of schematics as well as inspection and testing of built equipment at either the manufacturer or end user’s site as part of end user acceptance testing as guided by standards such as SEMI S2, NFPA 79, NFPA 70, and IEC 60204-1 (covering ergonomics, electrical design, safety interlock systems, EMO, etc.) (b) Preparing FDA CDRH Product Reports for equipment regulated by 21 CFR 1040.10 (lasers) and 1020.40 (cabinet x-ray). This included reviewing engineering documentation, built equipment, and manufacturer’s engineering tests for laser and x-ray safety to ensure compliance with the regulation. (c) Verifying of manufacturer’s resolution of identified compliance issues. (d) Keeping client updated on their progress towards compliance to facilitate timely product delivery.

Characterized the prototype of a piezoelectric automated mortar and pestle replacement for homogenization of tissue samples to find the most efficient and non-destructive working conditions. Designed and tested a disposable millifluidic valve using 3D printer.

Created a database of US utilities for a start-up internet company.
