My work with the Taskforce started out as a temporary loan from my previous job to help write the National Strategy for the Care and Support Economy - and I’ve never left! I’ve been working with a small but growing team to create and realise a vision of a productive and sustainable care and support economy that delivers quality care and support with quality jobs. I couldn’t be more proud of what I and my team have achieved here so far - and I can’t wait to see where we go.

In this role I had the privilege to support priority and innovative public policy projects and government taskforces through structured problem solving, a broad range of evidence bases, and facilitated collaboration.

As a graduate in PM&C I was able to traverse a great deal of policy domains and teams in one year, including:- Citizen Engagement- Resources, Resilience and Northern Australia - Fiscal Policy- Counter-Terrorism and Law Enforcement

This was an internship placement through the Australia Network on Disability's Stepping Into Program. I learnt all about mining, and I put my analysis and problem solving skills to good use to find fresh insights!

My work here involved mapping the market of funding opportunities for core operations, as well as new projects and partnerships. I developed a grant application portfolio, and undertook a comparative analysis of services offered by other women’s community legal services across Australia. Through this role I was able to support the management team in identifying service gaps, and brainstorming plans to fill them.
