Currently serving as the Director of Purchasing and Fiscal Services for the Facilities Department of George Mason University. I oversee all of the Facilities Maintenance, Repair and Operations and Construction procurement staff, two Accounts Payable personnel, and a billing coordinator.

Currently serving as the Assistant Director/Category Manager for George Mason University's Purchasing Department. I oversee two Senior Buyers who work on a variety of commodities but am primarily responsible for Maintenance, Repair and Operation procurement for the Facilities Department, Construction Approvals, and procurement for the Information Technology Services including hardware, software, and consulting services. I oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Invitation for Bid (IFB) process and am responsible for, on average, 30 formal solicitations a year. I am a certified Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) and a Certified University Procurement Official (CUPO). I am in classes to complete my MBA.

I have 5 years of experience in the supply chain management field. In my current position as a Buyer II with BAE Systems Information Solutions I submit requests for quotes and for information for marketing research requirements, pricing and availability requirements. I have researched and cultivated material and service suppliers and reviewed, rated and provided feedback to supplier sources on their performance. I have solicited vendors for both information and pricing and availability for various indirect and direct programs in a range of markets including software, hardware, electronic components, military specification components, fabricated materials, construction and management services, consulting services in the information technology arena, facility management, maintenance services, and promotional services and goods. I have awarded various contract vehicles, subcontracts and purchase orders, for services and materials including firm fixed price, blanket (IDIQ), time and material, labor hour, letter contracts and cost plus reimbursement (including incentive and award fee) type contracts. I am highly proficient in negotiating pricing, availability, discounts, and terms and conditions for various orders. I have created and maintained Purchase Order files and Subcontracts that include all required change order and modification document includings backup documentation to adhere with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations).
