I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Higher Education Leadership at SUNY Oswego, working as an Assistant Hall Director for Residence Life & Housing. I received my Bachelor’s in Communication in August of 2023 from SUNY Oswego. I realized my love for working with college students in my time as an undergraduate student, especially as a Resident Assistant for a year and a half. I was responsible for a single-occupant style community where I created events to foster engagement amongst my residents. I also participated in an on-call rotation, where I was responsible for the safety and security of the residents in the residence hall in time-sensitive situations. I found that I had the passion for not only working in an environment with college students, but being able to help students through a transformative part of their lives. I continue to fulfill my passion for working with college students in my Assistant Hall Director role, where I supervise 29 student staff, oversee facilities in the residence halls, and act as a point of contact for students regarding concern or outside inside or outside of the residence hall. With experiences that I have had, such as my leadership positions in a vocal performing group, building manager for Conference Services, and my current experience as being a graduate intern in the Financial Aid Office, I hope to be able to continue building up my skills to be a more well-versed higher education professional.
