I am a litigation and transactional attorney with 29 years of experience serving large and small corporate clients and companies in Texas and nationally. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), graduate of the Rolls-Royce Model 250 IV FADEC Engine Maintenance Course, and registered private pilot, I have a unique legal, financial, and practical background to leverage when representing clients in complex litigation issues and aviation transactional matters. I am deeply involved in the aviation community as a private pilot, past aircraft owner, past Chair of the Texas State Bar Aviation Section, and past President of the International Aviation Women’s Association. My experience in aviation law has afforded me the opportunity to work on numerous aviation cases involving major air carriers, general aviation aircraft and operations, pilot-error accidents, mid-air collisions, air traffic controller cases, class actions, and products liability cases. I have also developed particular experience in aircraft ownership, operation, and transactions, regularly advising clients on aircraft purchase, sale, and repossession transactions as well as ownership and operating structures that comply with the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) rules and various federal and state tax regimes. In this role, I represent corporate aircraft owners and operators, as well as fixed based operators in cases across the United States and in countries around the globe.Aside from my aviation practice, I regularly act as outside general counsel to various individuals and companies, overseeing and conducting work for clients who have legal needs in several legal areas. I join my colleagues at Jackson Walker in working with The Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas, regularly addressing and advising on exposure to litigation risk, engagement with law enforcement, personnel issues, leadership and management transitions, and the communications challenges these situations can pose.
