Working as a staff writer, I weekly write articles about local noteworthy events, city council meetings, and individuals in the community. I also assist the editor in formatting submitted works and the works of my co-workers to match house style, conform with established grammatical and spelling rules, and ensure readability. I am also very familiar with some of the graphic design aspects of the job, such as customizing the pages of the paper this week and creating ads for our clients.
