· Developed a procedure for growing Microcystis aeruginosa under lab conditions to aid in harmful algal bloom remediation research· Track algal cell density throughout growth with spectrophotometer and cell-counting chamber

Performed in-field assessments of erosion potential at gullies and pipe outfalls around the Lower Minnesota River Watershed District. Developed efficient methods of data organization for the 700+ sites visited. Contributed to a report that detailed locations at which significant sediment movement was at risk.
