As far as I can remember, I have always had a passion for animals and the environment. Therefore I studied Animal Management at college and qualified with a Level 3 Extended Diploma which led me to continue my studies at UWE Hartpury University, enrolling on a BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare degree. I then pursued a job working at the Blue Cross in Burford and another job working for Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter for a year each as an Animal Welfare and Rehabilitation Assistant. Unfortunately my animal behaviour and training career was put on hold when I was offered an office administrator job closer to home, working for a local online garden machinery company. Then after another year I moved to Stroud and started a new job as a Digital Communications Manager for an online marketing company. This was challenging and have learnt a great deal but since the Covid Pandemic I became a full time carer at Bluebird Care and was then promoted to Supervisor within a year. My manager saw great potential in me to strive further within the company, as I had all the right characteristics and attitudes. A year later and I have proven myself to be a great asset to the team and am enjoying the work I do within the communities. I have already completed a course in Fundamentals of Care and am looking forward to enroll on the Dementia Link work course next year, to expand on the knowledge already gained.Throughout my career I have always given 110% effort especially as I am a fast learner, enthusiastic and love challenging myself. I have excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone, and am always willing to help others, so work well as part of a team or as an individual using my initiative and can do attitude.
