Operations Leader and Production Engineer at the Quaternary Amines plant in Freeport, TX. Role responsibilities include supervising 7 employees, driving eh&s performance, and providing technical support for the plant. Also acting as a manufacturing rep for a large (17 MM) department merger which includes building a new office building, electrical building, IT room, and complete control room renovation. ISO 9001 certified facility. Also engineering support for Quat supply chain and DOT.

Designed and executed small capital and expense projects for the polyols plant in Freeport, TX. Projects include exchanger replacements and reactor optimization.

Maintenance representative on a $15 million capital project. Reviewed mechanical designs, provided plant experience for making key mechanical equipment decisions, reviewed 3D models, worked with internal engineering design group on designs, developed spare parts lists, predictive maintenance programs, led bi-weekly maintenance rep meetings. Provided C&SU mechanical troubleshooting.

Commissioning and Start Up Leader for a capital project ($7 MM) to implement new polyol technology and debottlenecking at a polyols plant. Worked with a team to introduce two new products and a new raw material to the plant, designed commissioning strategy for new catalyst area, and two reactors and finishing trains.

Equipment operation and repair specialist for Polyols manufacturing. Specialize in failure analysis (FMEA), vibration analysis (cat 2 cert), statistical analysis showing improvements (weibull), designing and implementing small projects($100,000), and root cause investigation. Familiar equipment includes blowers, vacuum pumps, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, tanks, vessels, reactors, towers, and designing systems for high viscosity fluids and flammable areas.

Dow new maintenance engineer program. Completed six sigma green belt project leader certification and FMEA certification.
