I direct the after school reading remediation program, YREADS, at Peace River Elementary School in Punta Gorda. My role encompasses a broad scope of duties including: recruiting, training, and managing a team of volunteers and two assistants, managing student referrals and records, teaching approx. 40-50 students per year in SIPPS, Kidz Lit, Raz Kids and additional reading curriculum, maintaining detailed student records, following grant requirements, managing a CRM database, connecting community groups to the program, and maintaining good rapport with parents/guardians, teachers, school administrators, and the YMCA of SWFL.

I design, direct, and implement all of RAA’s communications channels (email, social media, newsletters, etc). Additionally, I help maintain the day-to-day administrative operations of the nonprofit from orders to product design. I manage RAA’s CRM database, donor thank you’s, design and send annual reports, and strategize and implement social media influencer partnerships. In 2022, RAA had the greatest increase to date in donations on Give Miami Day (49%) and audience members across media channels (i.e. Instagram (73%) and MailChimp (10%)). This was the accomplishment I am most proud of in relation to my job responsibilities. I saw a direct correlation between the number of hours I directed specifically at audience engagement surrounding Give Miami Day and the number of donations coming in. It reminded me of the importance of having active, ongoing engagement consistently with our audience, especially with tricky algorithms. I was encouraged to see the hours of preparation surrounding Give Miami Day pay off in a big way as we not only met our initial goal, but met and exceeded our increased goal - receiving additional match funds! In the months following Give Miami Day, our audience has continued to grow; I’m hopeful to see that translate to monthly donors and volunteers in 2023.

I supervised a team of 6 Family Support Workers in the administration of the Healthy Families program. From maintaining and updating CRM and OUNCE databases to training and supporting FSW’s in their visits and documentation, I gained experience in family preservation, nonprofit management, grant fulfillment, and support of service staff. Through my time as a FSW Supervisor, I participated in various continuing education opportunities including (but not limited to): Motivational Interviewing, Pre and Post Natal Care, Child Abuse and Neglect Training, Administration of Growing Great Kids curriculum, etc.

I maintained the front desk and retail space conducting class check in’s, first time visit tours, equipment rentals, database (MindBody) management and lead outreach, customer relations, retail management, studio upkeep, and customer service in addition to supporting yoga and fiit teachers in the preparation and implementation of classes on a fast-paced schedule.

Crafted specialty coffee, tea, and cocktail beverages, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other food items. Maintained the coffee shop environment (cleanliness, managing till, customer service, etc.).
