As a member of the board of directors at GLREA, I am contributing to high level decision making for future programs and growth. I sit on the education committee and am currently leading a student ambassador program to engage and mobilize Michigan college students across the state through collaboration, project development and support, and professional development opportunities. I am also writing a guide for public schools to learn how they can adopt solar for their districts.

I am working to continue our clubs impacts on campus and community clean energy initiatives by connecting a wide network of students, administration, and community partners in learning opportunities. I connect our team with professionals in clean energy fields, hands-on renewable energy and sustainability projects, and support activism towards energy justice and better policy on clean energy implementation.

Spearheaded project with Campus Farm to purchase and install a solar array to power on-site cooler, EV cargo van, and charger. Fundraised $115,000 towards collaborative project with Campus Farm and engaged students, alumni, and community members in various project stages. Worked on R&D projects around campus to improve sustainability and awareness of renewable energies. Collaborated with other members and faculty to push renewables in university plans and bring sponsored projects like a bike repair station to fruition.

As an undergraduate researcher in the Lenert Lab in UM’s Department of Chemical Engineering, I am contributing to projects in the thermophotovoltaics field, particularly with concentrated solar power technologies. I am modeling thermal radiation as visible and IR light to measure solar receiver temperatures, using a modified digital camera that now passed through IR and UV wavelength light. I am also testing dispersion methods for nanoparticles in silica aerogel solutions that will increase absorption of heat in our parabolic trough collector prototype. I learn new things every day and am so excited to be contributing to this team’s goals.

As a renewable energy engineering intern, I worked on three projects to support the solar engineering team's work: designing and discussing the feasibility of a microgrid for operations sites, validating and reviewing a new energy estimate software, and building out a product guide and recommendation tool for alternative foundations. I worked across all departments in the company and sat in on trainings for all engineering teams. I presented my final work to mentors and company management and VPs.

As a PDP summer intern, I have the opportunity to work with a site process engineer on real problem solving in the plant. My projects include silo measurement accuracy and metal detector calibrations. I have learned so much about plant operations, engineering applications, and working with a network of people at the plant to solve each of our problems.

In my role as an intern at Fermilab's TARGET Summer Institute, I had the opportunity to learn and collaborate with many diverse experts in the physics and technologies fields. I focused on a project to monitor raw data from the Muon g-2 experiment under a data monitoring/analysis expert, and developed important skills including collaboration in research, asking informed questions, and the basics of Python language.
