Serve under the Vice President of Life Science, Biodefense, and Homeland Security Division, assisting and leading contract management, business development, proposal writing, and workforce planning and recruiting efforts. Daily tasks include utilization of skills and knowledge in building and supporting high-performing teams, working to solve complex challenges in a number of areas, including biotechnology, public health, infectious disease, biodefense, and biological safety and security. Serve as onsite lead for BAI’s support to a federal science and technology agency, performing program management, technical, and coordination functions for teams responsible for reviewing and facilitating approval and execution of homeland security research efforts at agencies facilities and extramural performing organizations. Provide scientific subject matter expertise, analysis, and recommendations for the implementation of research compliance policies. Support participation by the Federal Program Manager and other senior agency officials in Directorate and Department-level meetings and interagency committees,working groups, and inspections related to, biosecurity; select agent and toxin security; life science Dual-Use Research of Concern (DURC); animal care and use; and human research protections.Previous Positions: Deputy Program Manager, Lead Analyst, Senior Analyst
