For the past 20 years I have been serving my community in my children's school, through my religious organization, and through the 501c3 my husband and I ran. I spent a year and a half teaching group fitness classes. All of my experiences have taught me important communication and teaching skills, quick thinking, and problem solving. In 2023 finished my Bachelor's degree in psychology at BYU. I started a Master in Social Work degree also at BYU. I will finish in spring of 2025.Many people in my life have dealt with mental health issues and addiction. Through travel and my husband's work I have been impacted by the refugee crisis our world is experiencing. Living in LA has made me sensitive to the situation of unhoused people. I feel drawn to vulnerable populations and hope to help in supporting them and bringing peace and security to their lives.
