• Studied the role of host protein ELMO1 in infection and survival of adherent invasive E. coli in intestinal organoids isolated from Crohn's disease patients or ELMO1 KO mice. • Isolated stem cells and maintained intestinal organoids from human biopsy samples and mouse colons.• Published findings as a co-first author in paper titled 'Host engulfment pathway controls inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease' in The FEBS Journal (2020).

• Conducted research in host-pathogen interaction in cell lines and animal models. • Maintained murine and human cell lines and performed gentamicin and plating assays to elucidate the importance of host proteins ELMO1 and host receptor BAI1 in the pathogenesis of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium via bacteria secreted effector protein SifA.
