    Director of the Coeur d’Alene Convention & Visitor Bureau. One of my main tasks each year was to write and implement a grant that we are awarded through the Idaho Department of Commerce. This grant is generated through a 2% bed tax that is collected from anyone staying at a hotel, motel, bed & breakfast or privately owned campground. Due to this, the grant has strict guidelines on how it is spent. This grant is solely spent on advertising and marketing Coeur d’Alene to outside areas. Most cities have this or a similar tax in order to fund various projects focused on driving tourism. The grants that I have written have been awarded each year with the highest one being over half a million dollars.Beyond this I manage the CVB's website, social media channels and monthly newsletter.
