I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Orleans. I have lived in New Orleans since 2007 when I received a bachelors degree in Sociology and Gender Studies from Loyola University of New Orleans. While receiving my master’s, I worked extensively with the recovery community and received supervision at Addiction Recovery Resources. I take an integrative approach in treating substance abuse, incorporating techniques from CBT, DBT, narrative and art therapy, family systems, and Adlerian therapy.My goal is to promote wellness in recovery–by creating a healthy, personalized balance for each client that encompasses all areas of life. I view counseling in recovery as a collaborative relationship between the client and counselor, that aims to empower the client to achieve their personal goals. I enjoy working with individuals from all areas of the LGBTQIA umbrella and a wide breadth of cultural and religious identities and am an advocate for multicultural empowerment in the therapeutic setting.
