Acting Senior Director Data Governance and Quality reporting into VP Informatics- Managed 3 Data Stewards, Chairing data stewardship committee meetings, producing meeting notes and organizing sub working groups. As part of this we defined and maintained data governance processes, procedures and standards.- Oversaw a quality assurance and testing team of 5 employees plus 10 offshore - Evaluated Data Profiling/Quality tools (DataFlux, IBM Data Stage, and Informatica) as part of defining a new strategy and framework for incorporating Data Profiling and Quality capabilities in to the Active Enterprise DWActing Production Support Manager for Corporate Data Warehouse- Led transition management activities to decommission the existing Corporate Data Warehouse assets and transition of support personnel. Deliverables included strategy and framework documents along with personnel transition and placement plans. - Led production support team during transition to ensure coverage to monitor/balance production loads, reconcile data, trouble shoot data quality issues, coordinated ETL changes, maintenance releases, and data fixes

- Managed four distinct teams: Data Warehouse, Data Architecture, Reporting, and Database Operations. Responsible for a budget of over $2+ million including managing purchase and negotiations for Oracle, Informatica, Microsoft, Syncsort, and CA, in addition to managing contractors contracts. Performed project management duties for all areas (business lesion, compliance reporting, development projects, upgrades, operational support, etc). - Data Warehouse team activities included rolling out a corporate data warehouse, built on star schema with 5 years of data over 1 TB in size. Planned and managed upgrade of ETL tools and platform. - Data Architecture team activities included the development and on-going support of Logical/Physical data models in Erwin and stored PL/SQL procedures, views, SQL scripts, tables, etc in both Oracle and SQL Server database systems. Development and rollout of Metadata Management repository and tools management (Erwin, TOAD, Model Mart, Hyperion Essbase)- Reporting Team activities included development and on-going maintenance of both operational and analytical reports using Brio Explorer and Brio Foundation, the development of analytical reporting and modeling using SAS and the creation and delivery of training and development support to end user community.- DBA Operations Team activities included traditional ongoing maintenance of Oracle and SQL Server databases including backups, replication, archiving, security, and audit. The team developed standards for Backup/Recovery, DR, Security, and Monitoring , created business continuity plans and successfully performed an emergency data center site failover.
