I planned and implemented weekly classroom lessons for fifth and sixth grade children living in underdeveloped communities. I was responsible for meeting with the head of the school weekly to discuss the goals and learning outcomes that I hoped each student would achieve during my time with them at Nassif Elementary. In addition to teaching the students English, I was able to engage and work with them in their community by working closely with them at their local community center. This aspect was critical in gaining their trust as a mentor and teacher.
