I am a climate risk specialist with over fifteen years' experience in quantitative finance, risk management, and advanced analytics. I currently study the impacts of climate change on housing and the mortgage market. This intersection is where I think climate change may have the most significant impact in the economy. I enjoy the breadth of this field and all of its layers of analysis, from individual household impacts to systemic and macroeconomic impacts. The complexity of problem solving in this space invites so many different perspectives to the table, and to connect subjects and methods in new ways is the most interesting part of my work.Topics where I would love to meet others in the space and share ideas include: hazard insurance, climate migration within the US, climate adaptation, climate risk measurement and uncertainty, and energy efficiency policies related to housing.
