Hello! My name is Katherine and I am a sophomore at the University of Southern California, studying Political Science (Dornsife) and Music Industry (Thornton). Committed to equity, access, and opportunity, I am passionate about civic engagement and arts journalism. At USC, these fields found common ground as I delved into the intricate legal nuances of the music industry's intellectual property landscape.Whether in Washington state or Washington D.C., I amplify Korean American voices in collaboration with organizations like KAGC, KAC, and SWSKA. My various internships fostered a devotion for achieving justice through policy and law. Recognizing the importance of uniting USC’s pre-law community, I now serve as Phi Alpha Delta’s President. Additionally, my dedication to service, stemming from 14 years of Girl Scouts, continues with my involvement with Alpha Phi Omega. My love for art and writing converged when I discovered the world of arts journalism, creating an arts blog in middle school and writing for the TeenTix blog. This zeal found synergy at USC’s Daily Trojan newsroom, as I write for its Arts & Entertainment section. I look forward to connecting with you and growing my network as I develop my early career.
