J.A.G. is a 2-year high school recovery program serving youth and young adults ages 16-24. J.A.G. is designed to provide career guidance and counseling in tandem with students earning their G.E.D. Many services are provided including paid work experience and post-secondary educational placement services.

Participated as a member of the Foster Care team to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of foster children during the time they were placed in foster care.Provided regular supervision and support to the client and foster parents during frequent home visits, office visits, and telephone contact.Completed accurate and thorough documentation for case records in a timely manner in order to meet minimum standards requirements.Developed, monitored, and reviewed with clients their Plan of Service designed to increase strengths, address needs, and reduce conflict in the home.Assisted in the screening and licensing process of potential foster parents in addition to completing home studies of prospective foster parents.Facilitated training for foster parents to provide them with continuing education.

Conducted on average 40 one-on-one counseling sessions with service members per week.Assisted service members with developing their transition plan out of the military by providing information and resources regarding education, employment, and Veteran Affairs.Facilitated a weekly 3-hour class regarding topics that arise during service member's transition out of the military and how to address any concerns or issues that may occur.Provided resume assistance appointments upon request to service members applying for civilian employment.Maintained an open line of communication with both the service members and their direct line supervisors in order to ensure services are delivered in a timely manner.

Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Team based at Solomon Elementary School on Schofield Barracks. Developed treatment plans for an average of 4 clients each month. Met with 4 clients weekly for regular therapeutic sessions. Interviewed and evaluated clients, including conducting safety and risk assessments. Offered therapeutic services to children and adolescents diagnosed with mental health disorders. Assisted each client, and their parents or legal guardians, understand his or her illness and the contributing personal, social and economic factors. Solicited advice and guidance from practicum advisor and other experts when difficult or atypical situations developed. Wrote reports and case summaries and compiled work records, including required statistics. Developed and facilitated age appropriate group sessions for clients presenting with similar concerns.
