She has over 7 years of experience in the public sector in public health. In her role as an Environmental Health Supervisor, she oversees the licensing process for food, pool, lodging, manufactured homes, solid and hazardous waste compliance and administers the County Environmental Charges for waste. She also is apart of the racial and health equity leadership for Public Health, sits on the Public Health Accreditation team and co-manages a $27,000,000 budget for the division. Katie holds a bachelor's degree in Community/Public Health from Winona State University and currently obtaining a Master's degree in Management and Leadership from Hamline University. She's earned certification in professional project management from the University of St. Thomas in 2018 and recently earned her Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt in Problem Solving in 2023.
