As a Manager of Engagement, I work with the Group Vice President to develop a strategic plan to grow clients with membership, engage members, and impact society. I lead a team of nine engagement leaders and one engagement specialist who execute on the strategic plan. Our team supports and coaches new financial advisors, plans events to engage our members, and builds relationships with congregations and non-profit organizations to impact society. I work in partnership with the Manager of Engagement to build, motivate, lead, and retain a deployed diverse engagement team. I lead a team of four engagement leaders to attract prospective clients with membership to Thrivent in key markets in the Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. As Vice President of the Southeast Thrivent Member Network and Assistant Manager of Engagement for the Southeast Advisor Group, I assist in developing a strategic plan to grow clients, engage clients, and impact society.

Meet with pastors, church leaders, and nonprofit leaders one on one weekly to build collaborative partnerships across South Florida that help grow Thrivent. Maintain a client service model with churches and nonprofits to drive business results and ensure our continued partnership. I practiced exclusively in Social Security disability law. My underlying passion for practicing law was helping others. Social Security law allowed me to assist children and adults who were disabled and are unable to work, pursue benefits which help their families financially and medically, through monthly disability payments and access to Medicaid or Medicare. The Social Security Administration wrongfully denies claims and makes the process for obtaining benefits seem difficult and long, causing many individuals to give up. I motivated, encouraged, and fought for my clients benefits. I prepared my clients so they had the best chance of success. I educated them on the process and the reasoning behind Social Security's rules for obtaining disability. In addition, I reviewed documents and medical records before they were submitted as evidence and discussed what actions to take and avoid while a claim was pending. I answered questions and guided each client throughout their claim and ensured my clients were satisfied with their representation.
