Co-facilitate professional development and workshops for 150+ educators, schools and community organizations on topics including, but not limited to, culturally responsive and relevant learning experiences and curriculum, anti-racist practices, and positive racial identity formation.

Facilitate and implement engaging and rigorous college and career access curriculum for 300+ middle school students across three DOE schools. Coordinate and oversee college field trips, speaking engagements, family workshops and College Awareness Week. Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet student needs.

Observed and evaluated 34 pre-service teachers for three rounds using the NYCTF Instructional Framework. Consulted and debriefed with pre-service teachers’ coaches regarding observation ratings and feedback to improve instruction. Developed Performance Improvement Plans and interventions for pre-service teachers as necessary.

Designed and implemented culturally relevant curriculum for 300+ students (grades 1-3) centering on identity formation and social justice issues that align with common core standards and affirm students’ diverse identities. Used creative techniques to coach 60 staff members in improving their instructional practice pertaining to cultural relevancy, restorative practices and relationship building. Key Contributions: • Taught 12 general and ICT classes. Differentiated lessons and assessments to meet the needs of all students and provided targeted small group instruction and intervention as needed. • Spearheaded launch of school’s Restorative Justice Initiative.
