At the end of the day, I know why I want to be an investigative journalist — I want to use my reporting to hold people in power to account. I want to share what is happening in the halls of power, from Congress to state houses to local Board of Education meetings. But I also want to share what is happening to regular people, around the country and around the world — to share the real, concrete impacts of the decisions being made in those very halls of power. With investigative reporting, I've been able to do just that, analyzing policies and major decisions through the lenses of those that they affect the most. I am passionate about ethical, in-depth, investigative reporting, especially as it relates to public policy, and am a hardworking reporter willing to get in the weeds of both document-based and interview-based reporting. My primary experience is in digital and print news, and I have experience with data integration and analysis. I am a current M.S.J. student at Northwestern University's Medill Investigative Lab, as well as a fellow with the Investigative Reporting Workshop, and I received my bachelor's degree from Princeton University in Public and International Affairs and a minor in Journalism. I have previously interned with POLITICO's New Jersey bureau and the International Press Institute, as well as serving in various editorial leadership positions at The Daily Princetonian. In these roles, I have extensively covered the LGBTQ+ community, affordable housing, political campaigns in New Jersey, and press freedom, among other issues. I have additional experience interning in both federal and state-level legislative offices with policy experience in foreign affairs, LGBTQ+ equality, and women's rights, providing me important context into all sides of the stories that I am working on. I am also an active member of both NLGJA and IRE.
