I am a recent graduate of Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a Chemistry minor. In an era when most college students graduate with $35,000 in school-related debt, I am proud that I supported myself with multiple jobs throughout my academic career and graduated debt-free.Passionate about all things outdoors, I am eager to start a career that will allow me to work outdoors at least part of the time. I offer knowledge of wildlife biology, environmental conservation, water quality testing and limnology, acquired through a combination of education and hands-on volunteer activities in the field.I am equally comfortable in a chemistry lab or in the field. I excel at hands-on field work and I'm not afraid to do some heavy lifting and get dirt under my fingernails. Some of my experiences include:✔ STREAM TEAM: Testing water quality (oxygen and nitrogen levels) with dissolved oxygen to ensure water met life sustaining levels for fish. Looked for source of pollutants and corrected it when possible.WILDLIFE SOCIETY | CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT:✔ Removing lymph nodes from deer to test for chronic wasting disease; cleaning up watershed areas; catching zooplankton in a Schindler-Patalas trap, driving a tractor, operating power tools, and working on a controlled burn.My background would be an ideal fit as a Wildlife Biologist, Water pollution Control Inspector, or Environmental Conservationist.
