Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) is the peak industry body for tourism in Queensland, acting as “The Voice of Tourism”. A not-for-profit, private sector, membership-based organisation representing the interests of Queensland’s tourism and hospitality industry.My role as a Director on the QTIC Board is as a representative of the Queensland Regional Tourism Network.

Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc. is a volunteer local tourism organisation, promoting and developing sustainable tourism and economic development within the destination of the Town of 1770 - Agnes Water for the benefit of all businesses and the wider community.In this volunteer role, I facilitated structured meetings and open forums with members, community and visiting local government. Leading constructive discussion about local and regional issues in the search for positive outcomes for the community.

In this volunteer role, I was responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing initiatives contributing to the sustainable growth of the community and tourism industry – in particular several Tourism Queensland co-operative marketing campaigns and the destination brochure which the volunteer organisation of DCTC completely designed, funded and distributed throughout the state, increasing consumer awareness of the Discovery Coast and Gladstone region.Hosted visiting domestic and international media and trade famils, including development of numerous famil itineraries for the Gladstone region.Provided assistance, based on experience and resources to operators with the objective of increasing trade ready product offerings within the region.
