Rise provides microfinancing and mentorship to entrepreneurs living with mental health and addiction challenges who are interested in pursuing self-employment. Launched a new program to meet the unique needs of women who have been criminalized. Fulsome training content review resulted in updated training content for all Rise programs.

In 3 years, I built the OCAD U entrepreneurship hub to support investor ready startups that attracted more than $6,000,000 in follow-on funding. I oversaw renovations and opened a business incubator for up to 25 high-potential companies annually; recruited a team; and, implemented best-practice programming. Designed and delivered a federally-funded entrepreneurship acceleration program for six cohorts of newcomer entrepreneurs who had operated businesses internationally prior to immigrating to Canada.

Responsible for overseeing services and programming reaching more than 30,000 entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs annually. Operated 3 retail locations offering information and advisory services; managed youth entrepreneurship training & micro-lending programs; and, delivered more than 100 learning events and conferences annually for Toronto-based business owners and entrepreneurs.
