Systems include talent branding, recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, professional development, and retention, to name a few. What makes DWS unique is the ability to use a researched-based tool to measure company culture and use the data to inform people systems. Also, DWS helps businesses set up internships with students who are currently learning a skill set needed by the company, set up an apprenticeship program to grow employees internally, and/or implement a mentor program to properly educate mentees.

As a project manager, I led the development of Advanced Career (AC) Informatics, Aerospace, and Automated Materials Joining Technology programs resulting in 70 projects that integrate technical, mathematics, literacy, and science standards and utilizing a project-based-learning instructional methodology. This project resulted in 46 projects published through the Library of Congress.

As the project manager, I led and managed the Smaller Learning Community (SLC21) grant at the City School District of Albany. A school-wide initiative using project-based learning was implemented with coaching to support it. Career coaching was used to assist students and programs, and a business alliance model was created to create business-education partnerships. This resulted in the development of 16 career pathways for four academies in high school to prepare students for college and careers.

Accomplishments achieved in collaboration with a team of four and CTE directors statewide:• Provided technical assistance to schools in high need, primarily in the Big Five Cities to achieve N.Y.S. program approval and national accreditations. This work resulted in 234 CTE programs that were approved by S.E.D., 94 programs awaiting S.E.D. approval and 280+ in progress across the state• Designed and implemented a city-system to effectively and efficiently achieve the N.Y.S. program approval • Developed new and emerging CTE programs in comprehensive high schools• Provided professional development on 21st learning outcomes and project-based learning• Coordinated, hosted, and presented workshops at seven regional conferences annually
