Worked collaboratively with Dr. Vickie Hughes of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing to submit a research paper for publication in a nursing journal and to present at nursing conferences. Research was focused on bolstering the nursing literature about the significant contributions of executive military nurse leaders to the advancement of nursing through exploring the personal stories, experiences, leadership strategies, and lessons learned through the eyes of the first nurse to achieve the rank of Major General in the U.S. Air Force.

Obtained over 80 hours and worked on a project with the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality surrounding the implementation of lean management system huddles and quality checks in the inpatient setting and the impact on safety, quality and staff.

VaxNow was a start-up aimed to simplify immunizations through providing a consumer-friendly app and website that schedules vaccinations and reminds users when vaccines are due for themselves and their family. The mission was to improve awareness and access of vaccinations to the general public. Attended a HHS hearing where AMGA shared their views on regulatory impediments and effects on the provider-patient relationship and advocated alongside the public policy team regarding 2018 CMS changes to the MACRA Proposed Rule for the Quality Payment Program (QPP).
