Working in the Strategic Futures team leading the delivery of the Liveable Neighbourhoods Strategy, which is one of seven strategic documents that will implement the vision set out for the City of Whittlesea to 2040. Covering areas including transport, open space, streetscapes and public spaces, activity centres, housing diversity and affordability it will take a place-based approach to deliver liveable neighbourhoods for all people in the City of Whittlesea.
During my time at the VPA I was responsible for leading the development and delivery of Precinct Structure Plans (PSPs), which set out the land use and infrastructure requirements for new communities in Melbourne's growth areas.More recently, I was involved in the implementation of the VPA's PSP reform agenda. This work program aims to deliver a streamlined planning process and optimised product to deliver innovation, deliver government policy and co-design the next generation of precinct structure plans. A key achievement of this role, was the release of the new Precinct Structure Planning Guidelines: New Communities in Victoria, which lift the bar for housing density and diversity, greening and water sensitive urban design for new communities across Victoria.
