For all standardized assessments, an equitable version of the test must be available for students who are blind or low vision. I work with a team of amazing people to make tests accessible. I conduct bias and accessibility reviews; write alternative text and picture descriptions; edit print and online tests for braille transcription; oversee the creation of tactile graphics; review braille and graphics for accuracy; write test administrator notes; present at conferences; participate in national committees; and work with states and publishers to ensure any changes made to assessments maintain the integrity of the content and ensure a fair and equitable test experience for blind and low vision students. More information about accessible tests which I've helped curate can be found on APH's website. Show less
