Kate is an English major and Film minor at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA), with a GPA of 3.817, and is a member of the ALD|PES Honor Society on campus. She was elected as Show Runner for Delta Kappa Alpha (DKA) Professional Cinema Fraternity, where she runs the biweekly writers circle for screenwriters. She’s worked on set and on the production team for multiple student films, as an Assistant Script Supervisor, Storyboard Artist, and Production Assistant. She’s also worked as a student researcher for the UCLA Institute of Environment and Sustainability, and was accepted as a Student Scholar in the UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge - Undergraduate Student Research Program (SLAGC URSP).Kate is also an FEI Dressage Young Rider who rides for the United States. She was selected as one of the top 3 Young Riders in the country to the US Dressage Young Rider European Tour and to Team USA to represent the US in Europe in 2021, where she earned two bronze medals. Later in 2021, she would be invited to the North American Youth Championships, where she would win an international gold medal. She is also the 2020 US Dressage Young Rider Reserve National Champion, a member of the prestigious pre-Olympic Discover Dressage USEF/USDF Emerging Athlete Program. Kate trains with Olympian Guenter Seidel in Rancho Santa Fe.Kate also co-founded the sustainable luxury equestrian apparel brand, An Capall Equestrian. She is the Assistant Farm Manager for her family's farm, Peridot Equestrian Center, in San Marcos, California. And she has helped organize multiple youth clinics for Dressage riders in California, bringing in Olympians and world-class clinicians to teach local youth how to excel in life and in the sport of Dressage.
