I am devoted to supporting the growth and development of individuals in my community, helping them build meaningful lives one step at a time. Supporting and highlighting others is essential for building a dynamic team and community. Over the last few years I have served as a committee member, and appointed the chair for the last year to the African American Resource Network ERG for YMCA's of Greater Indianapolis. Through this I have lead my team and members with networking events, supporting other local Non-profits and BIPOC business' and service projects to help give back to the community. I have been given opportunities to attend the Diversity Roundtable of Central Indiana Annual Conference to learn and bring back insightful information to help with shifting our ERG's and centers in the right direction for conversations on DEI work. I was also able to complete a "Sustained Dialogue" training through the Sustained Dialogue Institue to be a guide in moderating more conversations with members of the Y and the communities surronding it. Through my position as the chair I was recently I was selected as a committee member of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Global (DIG) Committee for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. Outside of the YMCA I have spent time volunteering for organizations like GangGang during their Butter Art Fair and at the first ever Butter at the All Stars. For Pass The Torch For Women I volunteered at the annual Pass the Mic event, and was selected as a committe member and head of volunteers for their Annual International Women's Day Breakfast.
