I worked with youth ages 8 to 18 in individual, family, and group therapy sessions. I am EMDR trained and working towards EMDR certification. I have taught groups using DBT, ARC, Learning to Breath, Seeking Safety, and CBT skills. I have attended advanced EMDR training on working with clients with dissociation, attachment-based EMDR, and recent and traumatic event protocols.

I worked with middle school students in the school setting. Caseload was between 4 and 8 students at a time to enable a lot of individual attention to help clients stay in school and succeed. DIagnoses worked with included ADHD, MDD, GAD, ODD, FASD, and general behavior problems.

While at Anderson Counseling, I completed my internship in a Therapeutic Day Treatment program, working intensely with clients at elementary and high schools in the local area. Treatments provided included individual and group counseling, as well as in-class support to clients who were struggling with behaviors that would have removed them from the classroom.

While working as an in-home CNA, I assisted clients with their daily needs, including providing companionship, bathing, toileting, cooking, cleaning, and assisting in other capacities as requested or required.

As a practicum student, I work with residents in a sober living environment as a mental health therapist. I also helped facilitate a group designed to help people quit smoking and cofacilitated a women's recovery group that was open to the community and often had members who were referred to the group by Child and Family Services.

Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers. Assisting in the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the teacher. Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing needed materials and supplies. Supervising the classroom when the teacher is out of the room. Assisting the teacher in any other appropriate ways. Maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the school. Treating all children with dignity and respect.
