Career Development Coordinator
CurrentCreated a Career Development program (including a soft skills 14 class course (utilizing two different curriculums and curriculum I created). Also developed a Work Experience Program (WEX) where our agency subsidizes our Workplace Success graduates while they volunteer and gain work experience for up to three months. I network, find businesses or agencies that would like to become a part of our WEX and Youth Employment programs, orient both the businesses and participants and follow up, teach the 14 class Workplace Success course, and continue to develop marketing and written materials used for all parts of the program. I've trained the two Career Development coordinators who have since been hired for Regions 1 and 3. Together, we work as a team to help our participants in 15 different counties at 17 different sites develop confidence and skills as they work toward self-sufficiency.
