I was born and raised in Buffalo. I received my B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Fredonia and graduated from the UB School of Management Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership in 2001. After getting my BS from SUNY, I embarked on a variety of career positions that supported my enthusiasm as a Buffalo booster. My years in the hospitality industry helped me hone my sales and management skills. One of my main accomplishments with the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) was to create the Buffalo Ambassadors’ Program. In 1991 I took a sales job with MM Bork & Sons Bindery. The new job fed my passion and innate love for both books and manufacturing. As they say, the rest is history!I founded Quality Bindery Services in 1993. The more than 25+ years of work hard / play hard corporate culture has made QBS the international success it is for its quality bookbinding, thesis binding and Bible repair services. QBS has won numerous industry awards, been featured in a TED talk for People Inc. and most recently appeared in a Spectrum TV story covering our hard cover bookbinding services. We get the job done right -- yet, we all are checking out what the bowling scores were Thursday night in the lunchroom. It's not uncommon to have three family members working the same shift--a grandmother, grandchild, and a cousin. The picnics and parties are fun for both employees and vendors. QBS is just a great place to work!I believe in giving back. Over the years, I've contributed to both the print industry and small business community. I currently serve as the Chairwoman of the Printing Industries Alliance (PIA). I also served as President of the local PIA Chapter 2001-02, received a 2002 Pathfinder Award from the Buffalo Alliance for Education, the 2002 Printing Executive of the Year. She graduated from the UB School of Management Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership in 2001.
