I never realized how much I loved working on the water until I was back working at one! This is my favorite job to date and working at a private, Members Only, Yacht Club in my current position has provided a new skill set for sure! I have learned a great deal about upscale marina operations & what is involved with selling slip rights to our PIYC Members. I also feel blessed that this is the longest job held with one company. PIYC is member-owned, has 190 boat slips & is located at beautiful Wiggins Pass in North Naples, FL. -Develop, maintain and implement programs designed to increase and retain Club Members which also includes the creation and management of new waitlist policies since our club membership is full.-Provide constant membership sales and marketing reporting -Create a detailed annual budget and marketing plan for the yacht club/marina-Responsible for all Member communications, social media, and website management-Supervise and develop extensive lifestyle offerings with the Communications and Lifestyle Coordinator to engage our PIYC membership -Supervise/develop onboarding and retention program with the Membership Relations Coordinator as well as cross-train with reception personnel-Work closely with PIYC Ambassadors & Membership Committee as well as BOD

After a few years out of the Club Industry, I missed it - so decided to resign from my Senior Living position to return to my roots for a 7 year position with this member-owned gated community located in Fort Myers, FL. Operated Community Center located next to the main clubhouse along with supervision of all lifestyle programming and staff for both areas.-Supervised Membership and Fitness Departments (new owners, club activities, special events, gym/fitness/spa services)-Responsible for Marketing and Member Communications for all departments of 16,000 sq ft Clubhouse (web site, Facebook, eblasts, brochures/flyers, etc)-10,000 sq ft Community Center supervision including front desk scheduling, event promotion/registration, point of sale system, coached staff of ten plus three massage therapists and all other contracted instructors

After resigning from my last position after 7 years of employment, I decided to take a break from the club industry but remained in the hospitality line of work with an independent living/skilled nursing property located in North Naples, FL. This was the most rewarding job I ever had but not an easy one since I was so connected to the residents living there. -Created “Heart & Soul” Volunteer Enrichment Program for membership – marketing, recruitment, screening, training, scheduling, etc.-Worked with Corporate Office in Vero Beach, FL on development of Lifestyle Enrichment Programming with other properties-Supervised daily recreational and social activities for assisted living and health care facility which also included resident transportation on a very limited budget-Supervised staff of 4 in the Activities Department plus 150 volunteers

I continued with my corporate role and time with Hardy Development until they were acquired by Stock Development in 2003. I remained with Stock Development and oversaw seven properties for my department with a combined total of 7 years in this role for these two developers. I especially loved being involved with the design and construction component from permitting dirt to planning grand openings with membership sales and onboarding of New Members key. Responsible for the management of membership, lifestyle, communications, sports, and reception teams. In May 2000, while working for HDG (former owner), I was promoted from Corporate Director of Membership Services & Lifestyle to oversee/implement an active lifestyle for the membership at several gated communities: 38,000 sq ft Club at Olde Cypress, 53,000 sq ft Club at Grandézza, 20,000 sq ft Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort, 26,000 sq ft Village Center at Paseo, 16,000 sq ft Clubhouse at Ole in Lely, etc.-Spearheaded the entire Club Membership Plan and Sales Program for this brand-new amenity center-Designed, reviewed day-to-day construction and hired club operational staff for The Players Club & Spa-Hired and coached Corporate Director of Sports Operations, Membership Director & Lifestyle Director-Designed and produced all Club promotional materials/events along with 3 new member websites-Partnered with the Corporate Marketing department to organize community kick-off and promotional sales events

Recruited to work at The Club at The Strand by the developer of the property by being presented with an awesome opportunity to grow with this company for two other properties as well. Managed Tennis & Fitness facility located next to the main clubhouse that included supervision of reception team and Director of Sports Operations for all related properties.-Marketing & contracted residential and non-residential membership opportunities at 55,000 sq ft Clubhouse-Assisted in design and opening of 9,500 sq ft Tennis & Fitness Complex-Responsibilities included set-up/supervision of tennis, fitness and activities department team members -Planned, organized and promoted all member special events at The Club plus our Tennis & Fitness Complex-Handled maintenance of outdoor recreational areas which included eight hydro-grid tennis courts, basketball court, children’s play area and junior Olympic size swimming pool

After taking some time off for the birth of my first child, I resumed work in the club industry at this Fort Myers location also located in Lee County, FL. Planned developer marketing events, planned member special events/recreational activities as well as managed their Island Club Activity Center that was on the property for three years.-Surveyed membership to create an active lifestyle for all residents, members & guests-14,000 sq ft clubhouse & for developer marketing promotions, as well as unique member trips/cruises-Supervised & scheduled all social activities at 6,000 sq ft Island Club Activity Center

Immediately after graduation from college moved to Florida and accepted this manager job at a large-scale and active retirement community located in North Fort Myers, FL. Developed and supervised sister property location four years later as well for a combined total of seven years in this position.-Promoted to plan, design & oversee the installation of a second full-scale recreational program at Heron's Glen, Del Tura’s sister community, which included an additional 10 indoor, 17 outdoor activity areas & 45,000 sq ft Clubhouse -Worked under Director of Sales at Heron's Glen-Created a full-scale recreational program for a private retirement community which included 15 indoor, & 32 outdoor activity areas-Hired, trained, supervised and evaluated the office staff, interns & resident volunteers-Formulated yearly budget, clubhouse rules & regulations, activity registration, facility scheduling, revenue collection, inventory control, and policies/procedures for the departmental staff-Remained below budget while continually creating & maintaining high-caliber activities a 40,000 sq ft Clubhouse-Created & designed a monthly community newsletter (writer, photographer, designer and editor)-Developed & advertised individual/group programs, sporting events, dance/theme parties, concert series, educational seminars/classes, craft/hobby clubs, resident committees, day trips & daily activities for 2,400+ residents, guests, renters & employees -Negotiated all entertainment contracts, facility rental agreements & catering arrangements

Paid Internship for Fall semester as part of the International College Program limited to only 200 college students worldwide with Walt Disney World College Program. I was stationed at EPCOT Center in Orlando, FL but also worked at other nearby Disney properties as part of this magical opportunity!
