Reporting to Head – Aviation Safety;Managing radio, airside access training programmes;Enforcing airfield driver safety rules and regulations and issue notices of violation inclusive of Alcohol/Drug & speed controls, vehicle regulations; Managing the ramp audit and feedback programme;Searching and preserving of evidence in event of an accident inclusive of Damage assessments in accidents or incidents with airplanes or Vehicles;Collecting data of various nature pertinent to safety of airside operations, performing Statistical Analysis and trend projection;Functioning as aerodrome works safety officer;Assisting in design and implementation of an Aviation Safety Quality Management System;Coordinating and inspecting airport or tenant contractors for compliance in terms of safety;Directing traffic in congested and emergency areas;Responding to emergency situations as directed by radio, telephone, or observation;Investigating unusual or suspicious conditions and unlawful acts related to aviation safety;Informing violators and about penalty;Issuing work permits to contractors for all civil/ hot work airside and monitors their compliance with airside safety standards in coordination with relevant offices of Operations and AAI;Making verbal and written reports and records and maintains data on appropriate forms/logs/computer files;Performing other tasks as required to keep the Airport in compliance with ICAO and DGCA regulations;Drafting of Safety Journal monthly.
