My passion for architecture is rooted in designing spaces and experiences that are engaging with, informed by, and responsive to social, cultural, and ecological contexts. Design that is of greatest interests to me involve: place-making, cultural processes, adaptive re-use, ecological restoration, and experience-driven projects.I am graduating from the University of Arizona with my Master’s in Architecture. Previously, Iearned my Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of California, Irvine. Having startedout with an education in Art History and jobs in customer service and sales, I have acquired skillsand enthusiasm for working with people, culture, research, and visuals. As a recent architecturegraduate, I am trained in modeling and visualization software such as: Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper,Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign), Enscape, Lumion,and Bluebeam Revu. Additionally, I have taken up Landscape Architecture courses when I am ableto, which have been instrumental in my designs. For my final Master’s project, I am focusing on the bioremediation of the Chicago River’s South Branch, through researching and designing strategies of both restoration of the river’s health and the reactivation of the river’s use by the community.At this point in my career, I find that my architectural interests are continuing to evolve. I look forwardwith excitement to learn from others about the practice and about myself as an architect. I thrive inan energetic and collaborative studio culture, where I can bring my skills and experiences thus farto the table, as well as continue to grow as an architect and person. I aim to build both career andcommunity.
