Six years supervisory experience with adult and child psychiatric clinical population, medical social work, mental health and developmental disabilities. Eight years experience in early Childhood Education. Work extensively coordinating, developing and maintaining quality education programs for students 2 - 6 years. Currently own and operate two quality child care centers. In five years of operation 95% of our students successfully tested into gifted programs. I developed and implemented reading programs that focus on phonics, phonological awareness and syllabication. Our students graduated reading at a first and second grade level. My day to day duties include providing individual education and planning for each child at the center. My primary goal is to create a strong foundation for excellence in learning. I focus on developmental rather than chronological readiness. Ensuring that each teacher receive the necessary training to take the students to another level in all developmental areas. There is no short cuts in quality education. You must understand each child learning style. To do this successfully I must provide activities that focus on visual, auditory and tactile learners. Only then can we accurately asses our students learning style. I value my role as an educator and feel privilege to be an integral part of my student educational future.
