As Sr VP, Brokerage Sales, managed a new life insurance sales unit serving high end producer groups, brokerage general agencies, national broker dealers and large independent marketing organizations. Sales grew over the four years, to represent over 50% of all new life insurance premiums at the company.As Vice President Corporate Communications, my responsibilities included the advertising, public relations, internal communications, sports marketing sponsorships, community relations programs and sales and convention meetings for the company. Responsible for all the Olympic marketing in the United States. While with John Hancock, I was President for four years of the Variable Series Trust board and a member of the Board of Directors of HealthPlan Management Services, the healthcare subsidiary of the Company that was sold in 1997 to WellPoint.
