Handle all aspects of complex civil litigation, primarily in the areas of employment, discrimination, contract and commercial disputes, and environmental losses, including: Prepare for and participate at trials in state and federal courts (as second chair) and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (as first and second chair) Consult with clients on compliance with local laws and regulations, including employment and insurance laws, so as to avoid fines or litigation Prepare of all types of pleadings and discovery, including electronic discovery and protocols Negotiate settlements with adverse parties and draft settlement agreements Coordinate national litigation dockets for large commercial clients Manage as local counsel class action against large drug manufacturer involving off-label use Review, revise, and update leases, service contracts, and licensing agreements for national technology clients

Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate serious bodily injury liability claims in both personal and commercial lines Coverage review, analysis, and application Hire, train, and supervise casualty supervisors and adjusters Select, monitor, and direct defense counsel Conduct uninsured/underinsured motorist arbitration hearings Prepare annual budget for office and casualty operation 2 year rotation through all regional departments - Comptroller, Underwriting, Personnel, and Sales - assisting in the compilation of the annual budget, market analysis and agent deployment, marketing strategies in new markets, and all personnel functions
