I coded decoders for topological quantum error correction codes under noise models with experimental significance. My current interest is in structured noise channels, and imperfect erasure models. I'm also interested in coherent and non Pauli errors, particularly in the context of measurement-based quantum computing.

I am currently serving as the Chair of the Yale Graduate Student Assembly (GSA), a ~150 student self-governing body from representatives from all departments of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences that advocates for the improvement of graduate student life. I have also served as secretary. I scheduled and coordinated meetings with Yale administration, our governing body, take minutes for these meetings, help set the GSA's agenda for advocacy, and assist in the maintenance of the organization.

I led three-hour study halls of 30-50 Yale undergraduate students from various academic backgrounds in math and physics through Introductory physics coursework on Newtonian mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism. I graded ~10 problem sets, 2 midterms, and the Final examination every academic semester.

I computationally modeled the skull through MRI and CT scans and simulated the propagation of ultrasound waves through biological tissue and structures for Focused Ultrasound applications. I wrote a comprehensive manual on my work using k-wave, a Matlab toolbox for the time-domain simulation of acoustic wave fields.

I worked with a small committee of 10 students to lead a semester long program session for ~200 passionate undergraduate women leaders. With two team members, I curated and organized a 3 hour long curriculum with external guest speakers, active learning activities, and team building exercises.

I led a committee of ~25 students dedicated to improving the academic experience for 22,000 undergraduates and graduates at the University of Virginia. I was actively leading various initiatives, including organizing academic information fairs, reviewing the application process for student-taught courses at UVA, and creating donation drives for academic tools such as iClickers.

Physics REU Student at Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-Based Sciences and Education. With the guidance of Dr. Purnima Ghale and Dr. Jacob Ruff, I applied machine learning techniques in Python to dimensionally reduce X-ray diffraction measurements of UPt_2Si_2 into a 1-dimensional order parameter to identify the quantum phase transitions in the material.

Led a class of 36 undergraduate students through two-hour physics labs. I held class discussions on the physics material related to each lab, and time managed the flow of the lab section. I held office hours and curated groups of students after analyzing their performance and teamwork.
