In my current role I develop programming for around 100 arts & culture events annually, including public talks, film and video screenings, public exhibition openings and symposia. I have supervised teams of up to 3 staff, volunteers and interns and coordinated events in-person at the AGO, virtually and in large-scale venues such as Koerner Hall, Massey Hall, and Roy Thomson Hall.I curate programs that include multidisciplinary conversations about civic life, current events, contemporary art, lifelong learning, community events and arts and culture. We’ve hosted events featuring the likes of Steve Martin, Salman Rushdie and Naomi Klein and planned talk series on many topics such as livable cities and precarious labour.Our team pivoted to virtual programming at the onset of COVID-19, creating a high volume of Zoom programs and livestreams and working with a media producer to deliver events. We reached new audiences by offering free online events, removing barriers to access and increasing engagement with the AGO.

I supervised 150 people comprising curatorial assistants, interns and volunteers in a role that involved coordinating logistics, administration and scheduling for adult public programs including studio courses, lectures, performances, gallery tours, symposia, and more.

In this role I supervised and trained a team of 5 in coordinating exhibition design, installation, budgets, exhibition catalogues, and interpretive materials. I coordinated 16 exhibitions of contemporary art, 5 of which traveled internationally.My work involved securing artwork loans, planning publicity, marketing, fundraising and outreach campaigns, writing exhibition materials including wall texts and brochures, and coordinating with artists on site visits, fees, and installation plans.

I managed 4 staff, curated 4 exhibitions, while overseeing financial planning, fundraising initiatives, community and media relations and promotional strategies, as well as managing the permanent collection.
