As the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at Ballston Spa Central School, I am responsible for ensuring the alignment and quality of K-12 curricula, instructional practices, and assessment systems with the state standards and the district's vision and goals. I have over 25 years of experience in education, with a strong background in literacy instruction, educational leadership, and coaching.In my current role, I also lead and support the professional learning of teachers, administrators, and staff, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. I have earned my CAS, SBL, and SDL from SUNY Plattsburgh and my MS in Literacy from College of St. Joseph. Prior to joining Ballston Spa, I served as a K-12 Instructional Coach at Hudson Falls School District, where I helped teachers improve their instructional strategies, classroom management, and student engagement. I am passionate about creating and delivering high-quality, student-centered, and equitable learning experiences that prepare students for academic and personal success. I am also committed to continuous improvement, lifelong learning, and professional growth, and I seek to share my expertise and insights with others in the field of education.
