I currently hold the position of the Lummi Higher Education Manager under the direction of the Workforce Development Department. It has been a wonderful learning experience for me, as I have had the opportunity to understand the policies, procedures, and history associated with the Lummi Higher Education scholarship. The best part of my job is working with the students, as it is gratifying to witness their growth and see them use their degrees in the Whatcom County community.Before serving as a student advocate, I had a long career in accounting at the University of California at Berkeley, Lummi Tribal Housing Authority, and Lummi Indian Business Council. My duties included serving as an Intake Specialist, Accounts Receivable Clerk, and Accounts Payable Clerk. I also served as a Telecommunication / Travel Coordinator and Food Sovereign Compliance Officer at Lummi Nation. I am proud to serve and help build my community.
